Check the line near their home is supported

Choose a supported location on the stretch of line they want to follow. The display shows trains approaching that point, so the location matters: a nearby station on a different route may show different trains. Check coverage before ordering, or contact us for help finding the right place.

Common questions

Can it show the trains passing near their house?
It follows a supported railway location near their home, not their exact address, and shows the trains approaching it, whether or not they stop. It’s worth checking the nearby line is covered. Check their local line.
Does the train need to stop at the nearby station?
No. Because it follows movement through the location, trains that pass without stopping are shown as well as those that call — often the very movements a local station’s departure list leaves out.
Can they choose a different railway location later?
Yes. Locations are set and changed after the display arrives, so the watched location can be moved at any time.
Can Lineside Ink be used outdoors?
No. Lineside Ink is intended as an indoor display — a windowsill, shelf or desk — and is not designed for outdoor or weatherproof use.
